Electricity Service Restored in Nuwakot’s Battar and Trishuli Areas After Flood

Electricity service has been restored in Battar and Trishuli Bazaar areas of Nuwakot, which were affected by flooding in the Bhote Koshi River. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) restored power supply through an alternative arrangement by charging the Balaju–Trishuli and Chapali–Devighat 66 kV transmission lines at 11 kV. The alternative system was introduced after the flood damaged parts of the regular electricity supply infrastructure in the affected areas. Following the arrangement, electricity supply has resumed in Battar, Trishuli Bazaar, and surrounding areas. The NEA had been working to restore electricity by making alternative use of available transmission infrastructure while efforts continued to repair the damaged system. The authority said repair and restoration works on electricity infrastructure damaged by the flood are being expedited, with continued efforts to normalize power supply across all affected areas.
