    Who Will Lead SEBON? PM Balen Calls Key Cabinet Meeting

    Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has called a Cabinet meeting for Monday afternoon, with high expectations that a new Chairperson for the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) will be officially appointed from the final shortlist of four candidates.

    Who Will Lead SEBON? PM Balen Calls Key Cabinet Meeting

    Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has called a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Monday afternoon. According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, the Cabinet is scheduled to convene at 3:30 PM at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar. Sources indicate that a primary agenda for today's meeting is the highly anticipated appointment of the Chairperson for the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), the country's capital market regulator. The selection committee under the Ministry of Finance has already narrowed down the pool of 47 applicants to a final shortlist of four candidates. The individuals making the final cut are: Dr. Nabaraj AdhikariBinaya Dev AcharyaMukunda Kumar ChhetriDr. Gopal Prasad BhattaInsiders suggest there is a strong probability that the Cabinet will select and officially appoint one of these four shortlisted professionals to lead SEBON during today's session.
