Finance Committee to Discuss Major Reforms for Nepal’s Capital Market
The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives is set to hold its 33rd meeting to discuss measures for making Nepal’s capital market more organized, transparent, reliable, and investor-friendly.
The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives has scheduled its 33rd meeting for Ashwin 14, Wednesday, at 8:30 AM at the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar. The meeting will focus on key issues related to Nepal’s capital market, including securities issuance and listing, market operations, regulatory effectiveness, investor protection, existing market challenges, and policy reforms. Officials invited to the discussion include the Finance Secretary, Chairman of SEBON, CEOs of NEPSE and CDS and Clearing Limited, along with representatives from the Stock Brokers Association of Nepal and retail investor associations. The discussion comes amid ongoing efforts to strengthen Nepal’s capital market through regulatory and structural reforms.
