NEPSE Rebounds 11.96 Points After Previous Session’s Sharp Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recovered on the latest trading day, rising 11.96 points (0.46%) to settle at 2,578.73. The gain came after the benchmark index had declined by 20.48 points in the previous session. The index opened at 2,586.24 and moved between an intraday high of 2,581.58 and a low of 2,557.30 before closing at 2,578.73. A total of 8,955,230 shares of 359 companies changed hands through 41,607 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs. 3.13 Arba. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.35 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was Rs. 15.03 Kharba. Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) recorded the highest turnover of the day, with shares worth Rs. 23.98 Crores traded. Its stock closed at Rs. 275.00. Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (TVCL) emerged as the top gainer, advancing 5.11% to close at Rs. 288.00. In contrast, Sarvottam Paints Industries Limited (SAPIL) posted the highest decline, falling 4.94% to Rs. 1,136.00. Among the sectoral indices, the Trading Index posted the strongest gain, rising 0.82%. The Non-Life Insurance Index was the weakest performer, declining 0.06%.
