SEBON has released the draft Debenture Registration and Issue Regulations, 2083 B.S. for public feedback, aiming to strengthen Nepal’s corporate debt market and diversify the capital market beyond equities. The proposed rules would allow eligible companies, including those outside the banking and financial sectors, to raise long-term funds through bonds and debentures. Stakeholders and the public can submit suggestions within seven days of the notice publication, after which SEBON will review the feedback before finalizing the regulations.
