Nasa Securities Contributes Rs. 50 Million to PM Relief Fund for Rasuwa Flood Victims

Nasa Securities has contributed Rs. 50 million to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the rescue, relief, and support of citizens affected by the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa. The contribution comes as the government has been appealing to individuals, businesses, and organizations to provide financial assistance for flood victims. With this contribution, Nasa Securities has joined the growing list of private-sector organizations supporting the government’s relief and rescue efforts following the Rasuwa flood. According to Hemraj Aryal, Joint Secretary and spokesperson at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund had an existing balance of approximately Rs. 1.1 billion before the recent flood. Similarly, around Rs. 20.5 billion was available in the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. These balances were accumulated prior to the recent flood and do not represent newly received contributions following the disaster. The government has begun arrangements to separately account for new contributions received after the flood. As donations are being deposited through various banks, the government is coordinating with financial institutions to regularly publish details of the additional funds received, spokesperson Aryal said. Several banks, business groups, organizations, and political parties have also announced financial assistance for Rasuwa flood victims. The government has urged all individuals and institutions willing to contribute to channel their support through official government accounts to ensure transparency and effective mobilization of relief funds.
