    NIC Asia Bank Contributes Rs. 2.21 Crore to BhoteKoshi Flood Relief Fund

    NIC Asia Bank has contributed Rs. 2.21 crore to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue and relief efforts for people affected by the devastating BhoteKoshi flood in Rasuwa.

    NIC Asia Bank Limited has provided Rs. 2.21 crore to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support search, rescue and relief distribution for people affected by the devastating flood in the BhoteKoshi River of Rasuwa. The contribution consists of Rs. 2 crore from the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund and Rs. 21 lakh collected from the bank’s board members and employees. The cheque was jointly handed over to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle by NIC Asia Bank Chairman Ashok Kumar Agrawal and CEO Sujit Kumar Shakya on Bhadra 11. The bank said the contribution is aimed at supporting relief and rescue operations following the sudden and unprecedented flood on Bhadra 10, which caused extensive human and physical damage across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and surrounding areas. NIC Asia Bank expressed deep sorrow over the devastation caused by the disaster and paid tribute to those who lost their lives. The bank also extended its condolences and wishes for strength to the bereaved families during this difficult period. It further expressed hope for the swift and safe rescue of those still missing and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the disaster.
